Shannon Distel is a frequent presenter and trainer on topics relating to organizational change, core competencies, leadership, social media, marketing, customer service, and library resources. Shannon received her Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University and attended the University of Oxford for a post graduate seminar on International Librarianship. Shannon is the Director of Customer Services at a Library Journal rated 5 star public library near Chicago. Her experience includes library management overseeing multiple service areas including Business Services, ESL/Literacy, Genealogy, Senior Services, Teen, Tween and School Services. Her background includes library programming, technology instruction, interlibrary loan and business and career librarianship.
